FireRock Star Party

FREE DRAWING

One lucky guest will go home with a new Celestron NexStar 6SE Computerized Telescope. It comes with free instructions for setup and operation by one of the Fountain Hills Star Dudes.

The 6-inch aperture has an excellent light-gathering ability that provides impressive views of the Moon and planets, along with deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula. A fully automated GoTo mount with a database of 40,000+ celestial objects automatically locates and tracks objects for you.

Andromeda Galaxy

VIEWING ANDROMEDA

Meet Andromeda, the closest galaxy to ours. It is 2.5 million lightyears away. You can meet the man who took this photo from his Fountain Hills patio when you join us for the FireRock Star Party. You can look through the telescope he used to take the photo to see the galaxy with your own eyes.

INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY DISCOVERY CENTER

We all live in Fountain Hills, the 17th International Dark Sky Community in the world… and soon home to the world’s first and only International Dark Sky Discovery Center.  This amazing STEM science facility will inspire future scientists and attract visitors from throughout Arizona and beyond. Please RSVP by October 12 to join the FireRock Star Party.
