Heads-up for 2026
Beginning with the 2026 tax year, non-itemizers may claim a small universal charitable deduction (with annual caps), and itemizers will see a 0.5% of AGI floor – only the portion of annual giving above that threshold is deductible. If you plan gifts year-to-year, your advisor can help you decide whether timing (“bunching”) makes sense.
